The face behind Rose & The Wild Designs

I’m Roos, a photographer, nature lover, and the face behind Rose & The Wild Designs. Alongside my job as a veterinary assistant, I express my love for animals and nature through my photography and designs.

That love has been part of my life since I was young. As a child, I was always involved with horses, and until 2000 I worked in harness racing. Animals have always remained a common thread throughout my life.

My passion for photography began in 2013, with a compact camera featuring 30x zoom. I bought it for a trip to London, where I was going to a concert by The Rolling Stones - a band I’m a fan of. To get to know the camera, I started photographing garden birds. What began as practice grew into a passion for bird and wildlife photography.

I taught myself photography by trying, observing, and practicing a lot. Every now and then, I attend a workshop to learn new tips and techniques.

Since July 2026, I have been registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KVK) for my photography business and webshop. Under the name Roos Piek Photography, I work as a photographer. With Rose & The Wild Designs, I give my images a place on prints, calendars, and accessories. I thought it was a shame to leave all those photos stored away, when you can also enjoy them every day.

My own photography forms the basis for my designs. In addition to products featuring my photos, you’ll also find watercolor designs here: my own photos transformed into a watercolor style with the help of AI.

Through my images, I’d love to take you into the animal world that continues to inspire me time and time again.
